HC Dinamo Minsk to host HC SKA Saint Petersburg

MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk will play the second of two home matches in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season on 5 March, BelTA has learned.

The Minsk Bisons will face off against HC SKA Saint Petersburg. Before their trip to Minsk, the Saint Petersburg side played seven consecutive matches on home ice, winning four of them. In their previous game on 2 March, HC SKA Saint Petersburg routed HC Barys Astana with a score of 7-0. HC Dinamo Minsk kicked off their home series with a 3-0 shutout loss to HC Metallurg Magnitogorsk, ending a previous five-game run during which they had consistently scored points.

The Minsk club holds second place in the Western Conference. HC SKA Saint Petersburg is in seventh place, 11 points behind. This season, the teams from Minsk and Saint Petersburg have already faced each other four times. HC Dinamo Minsk has one victory (4-3) and three losses (2-3, 1-4, 3-4). The fifth meeting this regular season between the clubs will start at 7:30 p.m.
