Belko wins biathlon sprint at Belarus’ nationals

MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – The winners and medalists in the sprint races at the 2026 Belarusian Biathlon Championship have been determined in Raubichi, BelTA has learned.

Victory in the men’s 10 km sprint went to Pavel Belko, who outpaced Ivan Tulatsin by 17 seconds. Just one second behind the silver medalist finished Aleksandr Golyak, the sole participant to clear both shooting stages without a miss. Rounding out the top six were Mikita Labastau, Ilya Auseyenka and Dzmitry Lazouski. Top athlete of the national team Anton Smolski did not participate in the race.

Pavel Matsul claimed victory among juniors, with Pavel Pashkevich and Andrei Kolbanov taking second and third places respectively. Earlier, the women’s sprint podium was claimed by Hanna Sola, Irina Shakleina and Alena Kulak. The Belarusian Biathlon Championship in Raubichi will conclude on 24 February with mass start races. The women will start at 12.45 p.m., while the men will begin competing for medals at 2.45 p.m.
