MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast are successfully cooperating in construction and have outlined new projects, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said during a meeting of the Business Cooperation Council of Belarus and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast on 9 December, BelTA has learned.
Among other things, the parties discussed cooperation in construction. According to the prime minister, Belarus is successfully working in the construction of social facilities for the region. "There are a number of new proposals. We will focus on them," he added.
"The governor [of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast] made a very important and unusual decision to support the region's agricultural workers through the allocation of subsidies to repair tractors. Thanks to this, the relevant program for overhaul of MTZ tractors has launched in the region. We consider it important to continue its implementation," Roman Golovchenko noted.
He also emphasized that the administration of the region is doing a lot to promote cooperation with Belarus. "We should also mention the regular direct flight, which was launched following our previous agreements and thanks to the support of the region," the prime minister pointed out. There are also a number of joint humanitarian, youth, military and patriotic activities and programs.
