MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – Progress in building the National History Museum was reviewed at a routine conference hosted by Prime Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Turchin, the government’s press service told BelTA.
Matters concerning the museum’s construction and the formation of its permanent exposition were considered during the conference. Close attention was paid to the architectural and artistic image of the future space. Sketches were reviewed of the bas-reliefs reflecting the main periods and events of Belarusian history through generalized characters of representatives of the Belarusian nation that will be placed on the building’s facade.
The construction of the new building of Belarus’ National History Museum is expected to end in 2026. Facade cladding and interior finishing are in progress now.
The museum’s building will resemble the country’s map. The exposition will occupy 12 halls that will reflect the history of the Belarusian nation from ancient times to the present day. Interactive components, QR codes, and multimedia solutions are being prepared to fully immerse the visitors into history.
A national unity park will be set up around the museum. It will become part of the water and greenery diameter of Minsk.
