BELYNICHI, 19 December (BelTA) - Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi visited the Belynichi special needs residential school to wish kids Happy New Year and Merry Christmas holidays as part of the charity campaign Our Children, BelTA learned.
Dmitry Krutoi thanked the children and teachers for the wonderful performance. “It's a joy to see your happy faces,” he addressed the audience. “You have been preparing for a long time, rehearsed a lot, but still you watch this performance as if for the first time - smiling and happy. This is children, they wait for the New Year celebrations most of all. For them this holiday is associated with a true miracle, joy and interesting events. The task of adults is to provide this holiday for children”.
Representatives of the regional and district executive committees also attended the big New Year performance prepared by the children and teachers of the school. It featured the main winter characters – Father Frost and Snegurochka. The children danced, led merry round dances around the Christmas tree and lit up colorful Christmas tree lights together with the guests it. The grateful audience supported the kids with sincere cheer and loud applause.

The head of the President Administration emphasized that the annual Our Children campaign kicked off in the country a few days ago. It aims to ensure that no child in Belarus is left without attention during the holidays. “Believe me, adults are also very excited when they visit children's institutions, communicate with kids and give them presents,” he continued. “It is doubly exciting and pleasant for me, because I was born in Belynichi. This is why I happily accepted the invitation to visit the school.
Director of the residential school Aleksandr Mamchenko emphasized that children always look forward to winter holidays, gifts and the arrival of guests. They responsibly prepare for performances, decorate the school and write letters to Father Frost. This once again shows that Christmas and New Year are a special time of miracles and wishes.
"The Our Children campaign brings everyone together," the director said. "Every concerned person wants to give children warmth, care and attention. This evokes sincere gratitude."

During the children's party, the guests presented sweet treats to the children. The Belarus President Administration also presented important gifts to the school: a certificate for a tractor, a modern touchscreen and kitchen equipment.
The Belynichi residential school is home to 105 children aged 6 to 18, including 37 disabled children, 26 orphans and those left without parental care. A total of 117 employees work in the school, including 49 teachers. The school has dormitories and classrooms, a modern sports hall, labor training workshops, food and medical blocks.
