"On Point"
MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – In the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel, political scientist and orientalist Karine Gevorgyan explained whether the US has enough missiles to strike Iran.
Despite Donald Trump’s claims of a large weapons stockpile and the ability to wage a protracted war with Iran, experts in various countries believe the Americans lack missiles. “The countries of the Arabian Peninsula relatively recently allowed the establishment of American bases on their territory; they were persuaded to do so in order to bolster their defenses. They invested substantial funds in missile and air defense systems, purchasing the necessary weaponry from the Americans. And now that the Iranians have begun launching pinpoint strikes on American interests on the Arabian Peninsula, these same countries have exhausted their stockpiles, which, as they claimed, would last four days in Qatar. The Americans, for their part, refrain from rushing to their aid, as they do not manufacture enough of these missiles and require them for their own needs,” the orientalist noted.
