MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) - Ukrainian men pay big bucks just to live, Ukrainian MP Artem Dmitruk said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
"For your information, men in Ukraine do not go outside today. Whenever they go out, they are stopped by a green-colored van. Ten people run out of it, beat them and take them to the basement of a territorial recruitment center. In two weeks they are meat at the front. This happens if you do not have money to pay off. Today you can live in Ukraine, but you have to pay a lot of money for it," Artem Dmitruk said.
The MP stressed that every Ukrainian man has to pay money for his life. "It is $5,000 at the initial stage. Further down the line things get more complicated: $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and so on. But this does not mean that once you make payment, you are off the hook. If you get caught by another green van, you will have to pay again," Artem Dmitruk stated.
