Belarus' border service: Poland notified about incident at border

MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) - The Polish side has been notified about the incident at the border, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.

"In the morning of 17 January, a border guard unit discovered that a shield with the image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus on a frontier post near the Usov outpost in Grodno District was damaged," the State Border Committee said.

The Polish side has been notified about the border incident. "The incident will be investigated by the office of border commissioners. In addition, an investigative and operational group is currently working on the spot to clarify all the circumstances of the incident and give it a legal assessment," the committee added.
