MINSK, 19 March (BelTA) – U.S. Special Envoy John Coale revealed who actually gives him instructions on meetings with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and who is trying to speculate on the matter as he spoke with the media following his talks with the Belarusian leader in Minsk on 19 March, BelTA has learned.
Journalists asked whether anyone other than the presidents of the United States and Belarus influences the topics and scheduling of John Coale’s meetings with the Belarusian leader.
“I work with President Trump and with President Lukashenko,” he emphasized.
The U.S. special envoy noted that he is aware of certain individuals outside Belarus who are trying in every way to inflate their importance through the media, claiming that they allegedly have something to do with organizing such meetings and their agenda. “This has no influence on me whatsoever. I receive no instructions from anyone else except from President Trump in this case,” John Coale stated.
