MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) – The CIS member states should contribute to the return to the respect for law, trust and predictability in international relations, Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow said at the online meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council on 15 October, BelTA has learned.
According to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, the most important areas of interaction in the CIS are joint protection of the existing global security architecture and implementation of the norms of international law and the UN Charter.
“Now this task is more relevant than ever. The CIS countries, using their political and diplomatic capabilities, should promote a consolidated and principled position in the UN and other reputable international and regional structures. In other words, it is necessary to return to the respect for law and a cultural dialogue, trust and predictability in international relations,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow said.
