MOSCOW, 2 February (BelTA) - The Supreme State Council of the Union State is expected to meet at the end of February, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State in Moscow, BelTA has learned.
“A meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, chaired by the presidents of Belarus and Russia, is scheduled for the end of this month. The main goal today is to ensure the preparation for the upcoming meeting of our leaders,” Mikhail Mishustin said.



He noted that the majority of the tasks planned for the current three-year period to implement the provisions of the Union State Treaty have been completed. “Primarily in industry, agriculture, energy, transport, logistics, tax and customs, science, education, culture, and many other areas,” the Russian prime minister said.
“The integration of Russia and Belarus within the Union State largely serves as a benchmark for joint work in other multilateral organizations, including the Eurasian Economic Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Together, we are creating conditions for direct interaction between people, entrepreneurs, and enterprises, enhancing the quality of life for citizens, and ensuring the prosperity of our states,” Mikhail Mishustin emphasized.
