Shehbaz Sharif: Pakistan seeks close cooperation with Belarus on mutual agreements

MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) - Pakistan intends to work closely with Belarus to implement all bilateral agreements, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif said at an enlarged-format meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Minsk on 11 April, BelTA has learned.

“We are ready to work together and will do everything to implement all the agreements and memorandums,” he emphasized.

Shehbaz Sharif went on saying: “I will do everything to make the bilateral relations even more effective and reach new heights.”

The Pakistani prime minister stressed that he has not been to Minsk for a long time: “It is a great honor and pleasure for me to be in your beautiful country for the second time.”

Addressing Aleksandr Lukashenko, the Pakistani PM emphasized: “We are great friends. You give us great support and I will cooperate closely with you.”

“Your leadership is supported by the people of your country. Once again I would like to congratulate you on reelection. I have no doubt that the Belarusian people trust and have absolute confidence in you,” said the prime minister.
“We have about a hundred agreements and memorandums on cooperation. Now we need to act quickly together to implement these agreements, so that we fulfill everything that has been planned. I am absolutely ready, as is my entire team, to work together with you,” he said.

“I know your style of work - less talk, more action. Let's achieve results. This approach is close to me,” the Pakistani prime minister emphasized. “We are ready to work together. I will work with you and I will do it sincerely. I will do my best to turn these agreements and memorandums into real results.”

He also thanked the president of Belarus for the words of support and sympathy in connection with the terrorist attack in Pakistan.
