Sergeyenko: House of Representatives is considering 23 bills

MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) - The House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus is considering 23 draft laws, Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko said at a meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives on 12 November, BelTA has learned.

“Today there are 23 draft laws under the consideration in the House of Representatives. The House of Representatives is set to hold a meeting on 14 November. About a third of the documents will be considered at the meeting, I think,” Igor Sergeyenko said.

The commissions working on bills have accomplished of the tasks, the speaker said. “I would like to note that a lot of work has been done on the draft law on amendments to the codes on criminal liability. Dialogue platforms were held in all regions of the country, and a number of important issues were discussed. The Standing Committee on Legislation needs to once again verify all positions, correlate proposals and comments on controversial issues. We need to take a careful and balanced approach. The same applies to the draft law on real estate activity, which has also been recently submitted to the House of Representatives,” Igor Sergeyenko said.
