MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – Aleksandr Lukashenko's interviews are always watched in the West, Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs of the House of Representatives Sergei Rachkov told BelTA commenting on the resonant interview of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko with American blogger Mario Nawfal. The video was posted on X, as well as on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
"Our president's interviews are always noticed, especially by experts in international politics, and absolutely all leaders of the leading Western states. The interview with the American blogger made rounds on all social media platforms. As far as I know, within a few hours it got almost a million views and great reviews from people all over the world," said Sergei Rachkov. "People commented on topics that Western media misrepresent, thus misleading the Western public."
The president touched on many topics. “Most importantly, these topics are important not only for Europe, but also for the United States and the Global South, among others,” the MP said. “The Belarusian president sticks to the policy he laid out before the military phase of the conflict and after the SMO started. The Republic of Belarus hosted three rounds of negotiations and was actually an intermediary between Russia and Ukraine. And now the Belarusian president sees that Trump is committed to ending the conflict and resolving the disputed issues by peaceful diplomatic means. Belarus, Minsk can become a platform for discussion, for peaceful negotiations”.

“The military conflict is in Europe,” Sergei Rachkov said. “The meeting of the US and Russian delegations in Riyadh actually split the collective West. We see the disagreements between the US and Europe on the issue of Ukraine. Aleksandr Lukashenko urges Europe to use common sense, like US President Donald Trump does. It is in Europe's interest to stop this conflict.

Europe has focused on its policy of sanctions, which is actually causing huge damage not to Russia and Belarus, but to the people of certain European countries. Aleksandr Lukashenko suggests that Europeans adjust their position, start talking peace, not war, and make concrete steps in this direction.”
The MP is sure that Aleksandr Lukashenko's interview has already been heard by many and that it will be on everyone’s lips for a long time. “After all, just a few world politicians speak out on this topic today. There are hardly any politicians who are well aware of the details of this conflict and have a full understanding of what is going on between Russia and Ukraine, and in the European region in general. Aleksandr Lukashenko has been long analyzing the global situation and offers his solutions to many European problems. As recent developments show, all his predictions prove true,” he added.
