CSTO deputy foreign ministers discuss preparations for sessions of charter bodies

MOSCOW, 7 September (BelTA) – Consultations of deputy ministers of foreign affairs of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states took place in the CSTO Secretariat on 7 September, BelTA has learned.

Participants of the event discussed matters concerning preparations for the sessions of the CSTO charter bodies, which are scheduled to take place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on 15-16 September. They approved draft documents, which will be discussed at the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the joint session of the Foreign Ministers Council, the Defense Ministers Council, and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas informed the deputy ministers of foreign affairs about the measures meant to realize the instructions given during the extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council held on 23 August to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.
