MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) - Ukrainian business is beginning to destroy Polish business, Polish dissident, judge Tomasz Szmydt said on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel on 11 May, BelTA reports.

"Ordinary Poles absolutely do not want the country to be dragged into the conflict in Ukraine. This is completely contrary to our interests. These are the interests of, first of all, the United States and the UK, but not ours," Tomasz Szmydt said.

According to him, the attitude towards refugees from Ukraine has changed very much in Poland. "At first, people helped them a lot, and then they began to pay attention to expensive cars that Ukrainians drive, the expensive property they buy - apartments worth 2-3 million zlotys," the judge said.

"Ukrainian business is beginning to destroy Polish business," Tomasz Szmydt emphasized. “It turned out that their oligarchs are much richer than ours. The last straw was giving access for Ukrainian products, for example, grain, to our market. Without any restrictions, it ruins Polish farmers. Therefore, protests and road blockades began. For our agriculture, this is a matter of life or death."
