MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikalai Barysevich met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Korea to Belarus Tae Jung Yeol, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed matters on the current agenda of Belarus-South Korea cooperation in politics, trade and economy as well as steps to advance the bilateral cooperation.
Mikalai Barysevich and Tae Jung Yeol focused on organization of meetings of the joint committee and the joint business cooperation council of Belarus and South Korea as well as practical activities within the framework of the New Northern Policy (a set of measures to step up economic cooperation between South Korea and integration associations of Eurasia, including the Eurasian Economic Union).
The parties also spoke about the preparations for the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and South Korea that will be marked in 2022.
