Belarus, Kuwait hold first ministerial consultations

MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) - Kuwait has hosted the first ministerial consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Belarus and Kuwait, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikalai Barysevich, the Kuwaiti delegation was led by Foreign Minister Assistant for Europe Affairs Naser Al-Hain. The parties discussed various areas related to bilateral cooperation, including the upcoming 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Kuwait in 2022.

“The parties reached an agreement to increase the level of the political dialogue between the two countries in the near future, develop the legal framework, maintain a high level of interaction in international organizations,” the press service of the ministry said.

Special attention during the talks was paid to intensifying trade and economic cooperation, resumption of joint commission on economic, trade and technical cooperation, further promotion of business contacts. The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation in education, culture and tourism.
