EAEU prime ministers to meet in person in Kazakhstan on 24-25 February

MOSCOW, 22 February (BelTA) – An offline session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will take place in Kazakhstan's capital Nur-Sultan on 24-25 February. The heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union member states and the EAEU observer states (Cuba, Uzbekistan) as well as Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich will take part in the session, the commission's press service told BelTA.

The EAEU heads of government are expected to discuss the realization of the agreement on the procedure for tracking imports in the EAEU and the agreement on using navigation seals for tracking shipments. A roadmap on expanding industrial cooperation in the area of civil aircraft manufacturing in the Eurasian Economic Union member states in 2022-2023 will be discussed as well as a report on the current state and prospects of development of the union's integrated information system.

Apart from that, participants of the session are expected to discuss a joint EAEU project for faster shipment of agricultural products in containers by rail and by multimodal means of transportation. Amendments to the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty with regard to the collection of indirect taxes in the course of online trade in goods bought by natural persons will be discussed. Uzbekistan's participation in individual initiatives of the Eurasian Economic Union and a number of other matters will be looked into as well.
