MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian holding company Horizont commissioned a new Belarusian-Chinese high-tech facility that manufactures ovens on 4 March, BelTA has learned.
The production of built-in kitchen appliances is geared towards manufacturing ovens and involves a high degree of automation of manufacturing processes.
According to the company, once it reaches its designed output capacity, it will produce up to 600,000 units per year. It will enable the company to meet the needs of the Eurasian Economic Union market to a large extent and will also create impressive export potential. The share of Belarusian appliances on the domestic market and in the partner countries within the union is expected to increase significantly.
The company’s specialists explained that the key feature of the new plant is the high level of automation of workflows, which minimizes human involvement. For example, the stamping shop is equipped with automatic presses with a tonnage of 250 to 500 tonnes, ensuring the highest precision in the forming of parts.
Special attention will be paid to the quality of the coating and the coating process is fully automated. The automatic chamber is equipped with five robots with AI cameras that analyze the geometry of the part in real time and adapt the spray trajectory for deep coloring of the inner surface. Innovative glass-ceramic enamel with titanium microparticles is used for paint application. This provides increased scratch resistance. Another innovation is the heating technology. Innovative heating elements will allow faster cooking, because no preheating is required: the heater can reach the desired temperature very quickly.
During the commissioning of the production facility attention was also drawn to the fact that quality control uses artificial intelligence. A multi-level AI-based quality control system is used at all stages of production.
“Specialists estimate that the quality of the products will meet international standards. This will allow Belarusian products to compete even more successfully with leading global brands in its segment. We have set ourselves the task of creating a product that will meet the highest standards. The degree of automation and multi-level AI control will ensure consistently high quality, which is very important in today’s conditions," the holding company commented on the opening of the new manufacturing facility.
Specialists explained that in the future the company plans to further develop its technology with a focus on introducing intelligent control systems for the cooking process itself. The creation of a new generation of ovens capable of analyzing the product and automatically adapting the operating mode is the idea. Artificial intelligence will recognize the type of dish, assess its volume and characteristics, and then select the optimal cooking parameters.
“The launch of this manufacturing facility is an important step in implementing the policy of import substitution and increasing non-resource export. Increasing the share of Belarusian goods in the EAEU markets will strengthen the country’s position and contribute to significant income from export,” the holding company Horizont noted.
By the way, on 31 December 2025 Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko visited the holding company Horizont and officially launched mass robotic production of TV sets with artificial intelligence. This manufacturing facility is unparalleled in the CIS countries or Europe. Aleksandr Lukashenko drew attention to the development of high technologies and artificial intelligence, which is facilitated in Belarus by the domestic IT sector among other things. “Life cannot be stopped. If we slow down and stop developing artificial intelligence, other countries will move far ahead while we will lag behind. But now we are at the forefront,” the head of state noted.
The launch of the new high-tech manufacturing facility by the holding company Horizont confirms that.
