Belarus, Egypt set trade commission agenda

MINSK, 10 April (BelTA) - Issues related to the 8th meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian joint trade commission were discussed at a meeting between Yevgeny Sobolevsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Abdelaziz Al-Sherif, First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Egypt and Head of the Egyptian Commercial Service, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Egypt.

Egypt has confirmed the participation of Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid Saleh in the 8th meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian joint trade commission, which is scheduled to take place in Minsk on 4-8 May.

The meeting addressed preparations for this session, including the draft agenda, proposals for meetings, and organizing an event for business representatives from both countries. Particular emphasis was placed on issues of industrial cooperation, including the resumption of assembly operations for Belarusian agricultural machinery in Egypt, as well as the need to establish direct interbank cooperation.
