MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – Rescuers from Vitebsk Oblast handed over humanitarian aid that was collected for residents of the Donetsk People's Republic as part of the Back to Back nationwide charity event, BelTA learned from the Vitebsk Oblast Department of the Emergencies Ministry.
The rescuers purchased heating devices and bactericidal air recirculators - a total of 30 pieces of equipment. The humanitarian aid was first transferred to Novopolotsk, and from there, with the rest of the cargo, the equipment will be sent to temporary accommodation facilities housing citizens of the Donetsk People's Republic.

The cargo was collected by rescuers, representatives of public associations, and members of the military-patriotic club Rescuer.
The organizers of the humanitarian campaign remarked that Belarus helps fraternal nations around the world - African countries, Cuba, and others. Vitebsk Oblast responded to another call to collect charity, in this case to help residents of the Donetsk People's Republic.

In addition to rescuers, material aid and essentials were contributed by military personnel of the Polotsk garrison, railway workers from Orsha, and business owners. The total weight of the humanitarian aid will be about 3 tonnes. More than 150 warm blankets and pillows, food products (cereals, sugar, canned goods, pasta), as well as personal hygiene items and household chemicals, generators, heaters, and bactericidal air purifiers will be sent to the Donetsk People's Republic. More than 100 kg of sweets and 400 items of clothing were collected for children.
