Union State MPs to discuss rehabilitation care of COVID patients in Belarus, Russia

MOSCOW, 6 September (BelTA) - The experience of health resorts and health institutions of Belarus and Russia in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic will be considered at a meeting of the Commission on Social and Youth Policy, Science, Culture and Humanitarian Issues of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. The event will be held in Anapa, Russia on 10 September, BelTA learned from the PA press service.

“Members of the Parliamentary Assembly will consider the experience of the Union State in organizing the rehabilitation of children and youth in health resorts and institutions of Belarus and Russia amid the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) pandemic,” the press service noted. “The MPs will study the execution of the Union State budget in 2021 on the matters that are within the purview of the Commission on Social and Youth Policy, Science, Culture and Humanitarian Issues of the Parliamentary Assembly and the Union State activity ‘Treatment and rehabilitation of children from the regions of Belarus and Russia most affected by the Chernobyl disaster' and the Union State project "Overhaul, restoration and museumification of the Brest Fortress buildings in the Brest Hero Fortress memorial complex”.

Within the framework of the visit to Krasnodar Krai, the Union State MPs are set to meet with representatives of the administration and the council of the resort city of Anapa.

The meeting will be attended by representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the Ministries of Education and Culture of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, and heads of health resorts and educational institutions of the two countries.
