MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich received the copy of the credentials of Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund in Belarus Rustam Haydarov, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Belarus and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Yuri Ambrazevich noted that the government pays special attention to cooperation with UNICEF in order to harness the UNICEF's potential to further improve the Belarusian system of child and motherhood protection.
The deputy minister urged the UNICEF representative to promote Belarus' best practices in inclusive education and social protection of motherhood at the regional and international levels.
"The UNICEF representative expressed gratitude for the trust in the UN Children's Fund in Belarus. He assured that the organization will continue applying a practice-oriented approach to the work with national partners," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
