MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) - The first-day-of-issue stamp dedication ceremony to mark 30 years of the Belarusian-Chinese diplomatic relations was held in Minsk on 12 January, BelTA has learned.
The event was held on the sidelines of the international conference "Three decades of the Belarusian-Chinese relations and a community of common destiny for all mankind" at the Confucius Institute of Sinology at Belarusian State University. It was attended by Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister, Co-Chairman of the Belarusian-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee on Cooperation Nikolai Snopkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong, Director of the Confucius Institute of Sinology Anatoly Tozik, experts and scholars of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, representatives of the Research Institute of Economics at the Economy Ministry, the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research, the Belarusian Society for Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and also ambassadors of the Republic of Belarus, who have worked in China over the years.
Speaking at the online conference were scientists and researchers from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, Chinese Association for the Study of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
More than 10 scientific reports were presented at the plenary session. They covered the development of Belarusian-Chinese relations in such areas as diplomacy, politics, trade, economic, credit and investment, scientific and humanitarian, scientific and technical cooperation, interaction of mass media, cultural institutions and higher education of the two countries.
The conference was held in online and offline formats. It was organized by Belarusian State University, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Belarus, and the Belarus-China Society.
