Over 1,400 trucks queuing at Belarus' border with EU

MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) – More than 1,400 haulers were queuing in Belarus to cross the border with the European Union as of 10.00 on 2 November, BelTA learned from the website of the State Border Committee.

More than 60 trucks were queuing at the Belarus-Latvia border at the Grigorovshchina checkpoint and over 100 at Urbany.

Over 40 heavy-duty trucks were waiting to cross the border with Lithuania at the Vidzy checkpoint, 170 at Kotlovka, over 140 at Kamenny Log, over 260 at Benyakoni, and over 140 at Privalka.

Over 350 trucks were waiting to cross the Belarus-Poland border at the Bruzgi checkpoint, over 90 at Berestovitsa, and over 100 at Kozlovichi.

“Compared to last Tuesday (26 October), the number of trucks queuing to enter the EU has decreased by 19%. Over the past 24 hours, the adjacent checkpoints at the EU border fulfilled their truck passage commitments only by 74% letting in 2,970 out of 4,006 trucks,” the State Border Committee said.

The least number of trucks – 246 out of 500 – entered the European Union through the Bobrowniki checkpoint (Berestovitsa checkpoint on the Belarusian side).

There were no queues of trucks on the border with Ukraine.
