Over 10,500 EU residents enter Belarus visa-free since 1 January 2024

MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – Since 1 January 2024, a total of 10,577 residents of the EU countries neighbouring Belarus have taken advantage of the visa-waiver to visit Belarus, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.
 
They include 5,726 citizens of Lithuania, 2,150 citizens and 502 non-citizens of Latvia, as well as 2,199 citizens of Poland.
 
Since the start of the visa-waiver initiative, 811,183 foreigners have visited Belarus visa-free, including 500,937 citizens of Lithuania, 186,951 citizens and 56,617 non-citizens of Latvia, and 66,678 citizens of Poland.
 
The State Border Committee reminds that Belarus extended the visa waiver until 31 December 2024. More information about the visa waiver is available in the special section on the website of the State Border Committee and the Border of Belarus app.
