MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – Liberal media in the USA are trying to pit Donald Trump against big business, political observer with the media group Rossiya Segodnya Vladimir Kornilov told BelTA’s YouTube project V Teme [On Point] commenting on the recent feud between Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
“Everything that Trump and Musk do is a publicity stunt. Their friendship was full of theatrics, and this quarrel is also a spectacle. We have probably started to pay less attention to this as we have enough of our own problems to address. Yet, the American liberal press will squeeze everything out of this spat. They write articles about it, draw cartoons, make programs... And, of course, they will go above and beyond to pit Trump against Musk and representatives of big business,” Vladimir Kornilov said.
The breakup between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, the political observer continues, is only the beginning. And how the situation will unfold depends largely on Elon Musk himself. “Will he be able to keep his emotions in check or not? One rash interview or one ill-considered tweet (and Musk writes a lot, he comments, puts reactions), and everything can resume with even greater vigor. There is a possibility that it can lead to a more serious friction between them,” he emphasized.
Vladimir Kornilov added that it was clear from the get-go that the alliance between Elon Musk and Donald Trump was temporary and could not have ended differently. They both are explosive and emotional persons, and this does not allow Trump and Musk to get along together in American politics.
