Minsk to host meeting of CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries on 27 July

MINSK, 23 July (BelTA) – The CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries in CIS statutory and other bodies will convene for a meeting at the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk on 27 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The agenda of the meeting will include seven items. The council is set to discuss the draft agendas of the sessions of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council and the CIS Heads of State Council due in Minsk on 14-15 October and to consider the amendments to the draft agenda of the next session on the CIS Heads of Government Council.

The CIS permanent plenipotentiaries will hear out a progress report on the concept of Belarus' CIS presidency in H1 2021.

Plans are also in place to approve the candidate for the post of the chief of the CIS observation mission to the elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia scheduled for 19 September and discuss several other matters.
