MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – On 11 April, Minsk commemorated the victims of the tragedy that occurred at the Oktyabrskaya metro station in 2011, BelTA has learned.
Fifteen years ago, an explosion that happened at the Oktyabrskaya station of Minsk Metro at 17.55 on 11 April 2011 claimed lives and left many injured and maimed.

A memorial marker called The River of Memory has been placed near the station, and every year on this day, an honor guard of metro employees is posted beside it. Relatives and loved ones of the victims and also members of the public come here.
Today, Director of Minsk Metro Aleksei Shilov and representatives of the enterprise's structural divisions observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the tragedy. Fresh flowers were laid at the foot of the marker.
