ISLAMABAD, 26 November (BelTA) – The State Control Committee of Belarus and the Office of the Auditor General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan have signed a memorandum of understanding, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Control Committee.
The document was inked by Auditor General of Pakistan Muhammad Ajmal Gondal and Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov (on behalf of the State Control Committee). The memorandum provides for cooperation in state control (audit) matters on a bilateral basis and within the framework of international organizations. The main goal of the document is to increase the effectiveness of cooperation between the financial watchdogs of the two countries, including through the exchange of effective methods and techniques, as well as best practices, expertise and knowledge. The decision to sign the memorandum was made during the meeting between the heads of the financial watchdogs Vasily Gerasimov and Muhammad Ajmal Gondal in August 2022.
