MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Iran’s military performed well in the conflict with the United States and Israel, Andrei Bogodel, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Education and Science – Head of the Education and Methodology Department of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces at the Military Academy of Belarus, said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“Iran’s war machine worked smoothly. Iran understood that if it fought a 12-day war, shelling anything and everything, there would be no result. Instead, it adopted a very pinpoint targeting approach. That is why so few missiles were launched: they hit specific targets with precision,” Andrei Bogodel said.
The military expert noted that Iran’s leadership was aware that Israel would not be able to maintain its air defense system. Moreover, the Iranian army began striking enemy reconnaissance and command assets. “In this way, they managed to reduce the effectiveness of reconnaissance, targeting and command by about a third,” he added.
Andrei Bogodel emphasized that Iran, among other things, began striking facilities that could store or produce aviation fuel. Oil refineries, port infrastructure and airfields came under attack. In doing so, Iran further reduced the capabilities of the United States and Israel. Another achievement of the Iranian army in the military conflict was that it forced the United States to withdraw its aircraft carriers.
