The participants discussed results of the implementation of the protocol of the previous regional conference and matters related to organizing the joint counteraction of border security threats. The chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus made a speech on the topic of countering border security threats in the Belarusian section of the external borders of the CIS member states.

It was noted at the conference that threats such as terrorism, extremism, and drug trafficking into CIS countries persist. This is why the significance of the program on cooperation of the CIS member states in strengthening border security at external borders in 2026-2030 was emphasized. This document will become a mechanism for implementing the coordinated border policy.

In conclusion of the meeting the participants considered a set of measures designed to maintain a stable situation at the external borders of the Commonwealth of Independent States and updated matters related to information exchange. A decision was made on interaction between border agencies and other agencies in the event of crisis situations. Apart from that, a proposal to hold joint exercises was submitted to the Council of Commanders of Border Troops.
