
BREST, 14 April (BelTA) - A delegation of Belarus Brest Oblast led by Governor Piotr Parkhomchik is set to visit Liaoning Province, China, BelTA learned from the press service of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee.
The delegation of Brest Oblast will leave for China today. The visit will last until 18 April. The delegation includes officials and heads of enterprises. They will hold business meetings and negotiations in Shenyang and Dalian, Liaoning Province.
The visit envisages the signing of a number of bilateral documents. In particular, in Shenyang Brest Oblast and Liaoning Province are expected to prolong the cooperation agreement. The new working plan for further promotion of twinning relations is designed for 2025-2027. Plans are also in place to conclude deals with Chinese partners of Savushkin Product, Brestmyasomolprom, the National Scientific and Practical Center of Transfusiology and Medical Biotechnology. The Belarusian delegation is scheduled to visit the Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences and several enterprises. The Belarusian delegation will also meet with the leadership of the city of Dalian. Representatives of Brest Oblast are also expected to visit the free trade zone of Dalian.
China and its provinces are strategic partners for Brest Oblast. The parties regularly exchange visits. One of the priorities is the intensification of foreign trade activities, attraction of capital. In 2024 more than $18 million of foreign direct investment from China was injected in the economy of Brest Oblast.
Brest Oblast has partnership agreements with four provinces of China - Anhui, Hubei, Shanxi and Liaoning.
