Belarusian army gets first batch of guided missiles Ataka

MINSK, 11 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian army has received the first batch of 9M120 Ataka guided missiles within the framework of military technology cooperation with the Russian Federation, the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The missile can be fired from a ground carrier or an aerial one. The Ataka is equipped with a cumulative-effect warhead and is meant to destroy tanks of all types, including those protected with explosive-reactive armor.

The missile's armor penetration is 800mm, caliber – 130mm, length – 1,830mm, weight – 49.5kg, engagement range – up to 6,000m, top flying speed – 550 meters per second.

The Belarusian army intends to fully renew its stock of guided missiles in the future.
