Belarus welcomes over 10,000 foreigners this year thanks to visa waiver

MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – As many as 10,240 foreign citizens from 38 countries on the visa-free travel program list have arrived in Belarus since 1 January 2026. Most of the travelers came from neighboring Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.

A total of 1,268,409 residents of Europe have visited Belarus since 15 April 2022. As many as 407,976 people came from Latvia, 665,948 from Lithuania, and 134,823 from Poland. As many as 59,662 people have entered Belarus within the framework of the expanded visa waiver since 19 January 2024.

The head of state has decided in favor of extending the visa-free travel program for citizens of 38 European countries through 31 December 2026.
