GRODNO, 7 December (BelTA) - Children of the refugees stranded on the Belarus-EU border came out for another spontaneous rally, BelTA has learned.
Today is the 30th day for the refugees at the border. They are living in a temporary accommodation facility in the transport and logistics center near the Bruzgi checkpoint. Many are not losing hope for a positive outcome. On 7 December, refugees, mostly children, came out for another spontaneous rally.
"Children, like adults, hope that Europe will hear them. They don't want to go back to Iraq," one of the refugees said.
Children are holding handwritten posters with appeals for help to Europe, the Western countries. "We are ordinary refugees, please stop shooting at us," the posters read. "Help us!" the children are chanting.
One of the refugees said that people make videos and send them to the Pope. They are not losing hope. They do not want to stay in Belarus or return to Iraq.
