MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has given instructions to use the newly appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) Aleksandr Yegorov to the best of his abilities, BelTA has learned.
Up till now Aleksandr Yegorov has been working as a deputy head of the Belarus President Administration. He was the head of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus (DBRB) in the past.
Addressing Aleksandr Yegorov, the president pointed out the only reason for concern: “I don’t want you to get dizzy due to such a career.”
“I’ve just had a discussion. We’ve talked about you. Well, you should be used to the best of your ability. You should be loaded even with the things that have nothing to do with the National Bank. As a person, who have passed decent [career] stages fast,” the president stated.
Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi was present during the meeting. He remarked: “He has been entrusted with multiple personal projects that he has to see to their end despite the position.”
“He should hold on to these projects. Even if they are completed, he should be saddled with a couple more,” the head of state remarked.
Aleksandr Yegorov noted he would be glad to accept the challenge.
“We have not forgotten and we will not forget that you have worked in other agencies and we can ‘squeeze’ even more out of you,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
