Lukashenko concludes visit to Russia

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko concluded his visit to Russia, BelTA learned.
The Belarusian leader traveled to the Russian Federation on the official visit on 13-14 March. The program of the visit included the official talks with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, an address to the Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian Parliament, and a meeting with its Speaker Valentina Matviyenko.
The head of state also laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin also had the informal talks and continued their communication after the official events were over.

As BelTA reported earlier with the reference to the Kremlin press service, an informal meeting was held between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon.

The presidents had a joint phone call with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. “During a friendly conversation the leaders discussed a number of topical issues related to further development of interstate relations,” the Kremlin said. “The heads of state agreed to meet in Moscow on 9 May to attend the events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.”
