MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia show the way for building bilateral relations, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov in Minsk on 25 June, BelTA has learned.
“Today we show the way for good countries and good peoples how to build relations between states. Much of the credit for this goes to you and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. We will continue to cooperate in the same way,” said the Belarusian leader.
He recalled the upcoming Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia and thanked the Russian side for the decision to send a large-scale military delegation and a group of senior officials to the Independence Day parade in Minsk that will mark the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from German invaders.
“It means the world to us. Therefore, you can rest assured that everything we have planned together will be fulfilled by Belarus without delays or setbacks,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
