Integration programs to ensure equal doing business conditions in Russia, Belarus

MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) - The implementation of integration programs will help Russia and Belarus to create equal conditions for doing business, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the online meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union State on 4 November, BelTA has learned.

“The implementation of sectoral integration programs will help Russia and Belarus to create equal unified doing business conditions. The economies of the two countries will begin to function on the basis of commonly agreed rules and norms, which will open up new broad prospects for their progressive development. It will have a great positive effect, which will be felt by all industries without exception,” the Russian leader said.

In his words, a full-fledged economic integration is impossible without progress in the development of a common migration and visa space. “It is important to fully ensure the labor mobility of the population, guarantee the freedom of movement of our citizens and take into account all the security risks in this area. This is what the Union State migration policy concept is aimed at,” the Russian president said.

The Union State development envisages not only mutual intertwining of economies but also coordination in all other sectors, including politics and defense. “In this regard, it is very important to ensure closer cooperation between Russian and Belarusian ministries and agencies. The role of the Union State Standing Committee is increasing as well,” the Russian president said.
