Belarusian senator: We have to preserve the internal core, endure and develop

MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – It is necessary to preserve the internal core, endure and continue developing. Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova made the statement as she met with employees of the pharmaceutical company Academpharm, BelTA has learned. Academpharm is part of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Natalya Kochanova said: “When internal turmoil begins, it is very easy to tear apart such a country. We have to preserve our internal core. There is no other way. We see what happens to countries that lose this core.” The head of the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament stressed that geopolitical redivision of the world is in progress. “It is what the president has talked about more than once,” she noted.

Natalya Kochanova added that today Internet is full of fake news and dirty lies. People cannot always sort out the flow of information on their own. “This is why we meet with as many people as possible in order to discuss all matters like this, eye to eye. But it is necessary to understand the key thing: this is your country, your nation, your land and you have to do everything you can in order to keep peace and calm. In order to develop your own country,” she explained. “The situation evolving in the world is very complicated. Political maneuvering, dirty politics at times are behind all of it. And we have to not simply survive in this situation as the president has said but endure and develop.”
