Ambassador: The desire of Slovaks and Belarusians to be friends and partners cannot be ignored

MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – The majority of citizens of Slovakia and Belarus want to be friends and partners, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Belarus Jozef Migaš said in an interview with a BelTA correspondent.

“This factor, or I would say, this value must be a cornerstone for the future development of Slovak-Belarusian relations,” said Jozef Migaš.
He added that the leadership in both countries cannot afford to ignore the will of their people.

“I would also add a crucial point: the Slovak and Belarusian people are bound by deep historical and contemporary ties, as well as shared values,” the Slovak diplomat remarked.
