The National Airport Minsk hosted an official ceremony to launch a regular flight Minsk - Urumqi - Minsk. The press event dedicated to the launch was attended by the heads of Belavia, the Aviation Department at the Transport and Communications Ministry, the National Airport Minsk, Association of Chinese Companies in Belarus and others.
Urumqi is the commercial, economic and cultural center of northwestern China. It is the capital of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Urumqi is located at the crossroads of important transport routes, including the modern route of the Belt and Road Initiative. The city is a key transportation hub between China, Central Asia, Russia and Europe.
