MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov revealed plans for cooperation with Belarus in a conversation with journalists ahead of his meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin, BelTA has learned.

In February 2026, Aleksandr Turchin, heading a government delegation, paid an official visit to Uzbekistan and took part in a meeting of the Uzbekistan-Belarus business council. “Specific tasks in agriculture were set. We have brought to Belarus entrepreneurs engaged in livestock farming and agricultural production who plan to open a trading house here,” Davron Vakhabov said.
The first trip of Uzbekistan’s business delegation was to Vitebsk Oblast. The CCI head highlighted the very high potential for cooperation with this region. According to him, cooperation with Belarus will be beneficial for Uzbek entrepreneurs working in livestock farming. The cooperation plans are expected to be implemented in the shortest possible time.
The delegation also visited Smorgon, where an Uzbek entrepreneur is implementing several investment projects, including a hotel. Another project, the production of yarn, which is in demand in Belarus, is planned for launch in 2027.

In addition, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted negotiations with the participation of Belarus’ Agriculture and Food Deputy Minister Igor Dorofeichik, Chairwoman of the Belarusian state concern for production and sale of light industry goods Bellegprom Nadezhda Lazarevich, and Chairman of Economy Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee Aleksandr Yevseyev. Uzbekistan’s delegation also toured the Kamvol plant, where common interests were identified and cooperation plans outlined.
