MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kazakhstan Aleksei Bogdanov met with Director of the Furniture KZ Trading House (Republic of Kazakhstan) Nikolai Kulik on 12 January, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan.
Nikolai Kulik provided information on the situation in Kazakhstan’s furniture and wood products market and announced the planned opening of a second brand store of the Belarusian furniture maker Pinskdrev in Almaty this January.
The parties also discussed prospects for expanding exports of Belarusian furniture to Kazakhstan in 2026, the company’s participation in the upcoming international exhibition Furniture. Interior. Woodworking to be held in Almaty on 10-12 June, as well as possible timelines for opening a Pinskdrev brand store in Astana in the first half of 2026. They agreed to continue cooperation on promising regional projects.
Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Kazakhstan were established on 16 September 1992. Embassies are open in both countries. The legal framework of cooperation includes more than 80 international agreements, one of the fundamental documents being the interstate treaty on social and economic cooperation.
