MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – The Russian side is ready for the floatation of Belarusian government bonds on the Russian market, BelTA learned from Russian Deputy Finance Minister Aleksei Moiseyev.
Aleksei Moiseyev said: “I think that today we will discuss the floatation of bonds of the Belarusian Finance Ministry in Russia. We are ready for the floatation to happen. I've met with representatives of the exchange, they are ready for the bonds to be floated, too. I am convinced that Russian investors will show strong interest in Belarusian securities.”
In his words, the matter of recognition of guarantees of Belarusian banks for the sake of participation in government procurement contracts in Russia is also actively advancing. “It has to be done so that Belarusian goods could be supplied via government procurement contracts to Russia without guarantees of Russian banks, which are hard to obtain these days, but with guarantees of Belarusian banks. The relevant government resolution is in development. I hope it will be okayed and signed,” the deputy finance minister said.
