MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) - In January-February 2026 retail trade in Belarus totaled Br15.6 billion, up 1.6% from the same period of last year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.
One-day retail sale volume per capita came at Br29 as against Br26.6 year-on-year.
Retail outlets accounted for 95.8% of retail sales. In January-February 2026 they reported Br15 billion in retail sale, up 1.9% as against the same period of 2025.
In January-February 2026 wholesale trade amounted to Br25.7 billion, or 93% year-on-year in comparable prices.
Trade by public catering outlets totaled Br1.1 billion or 96.6% as against the same stretch a year ago.
