MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – The joint venture ZAO MAZ-MAN will ship 15 dump trucks MAZ-MAN 756539 and ten truck tractors MAZ-MAN 646539 with a 6x6 wheel formula to Western Siberia where the vehicles will be used to build roads across oil fields, BelTA learned from ZAO MAZ-MAN's Director for Sales and Aftersales Service Stanislav Ivanyushenko.
According to the source, the vehicles are intended for Surgutneftegas. “We have shipped our products to Western Siberia before, but now we are going to ship all-wheel-drive vehicles with the best off-road ability and the top carrying capacity among the vehicles used for road construction,” noted Stanislav Ivanyushenko. The first five vehicles will be shipped by the end of the week, while the company intends to complete the shipment in October-November.
The first dump truck MAZ-MAN 756539 was sold in May 2013. For more than a year the new vehicle has been tested in real conditions of Western Siberia. As a result, the customer has decided to buy a batch of them. Technical and economic parameters of the new dump truck determined Surgutneftegas' choice, explained Stanislav Ivanyushenko.
All-wheel-drive dump trucks and truck tractors have been tested during the construction of the second Minsk ring road. “We have received good feedback. We hope that we will get a new order. The road construction company OAO Beldortrans has started a tender and we may win it. The tender requests the delivery of 2-10 vehicles. The number will depend on the funding to be made available,” stated Stanislav Ivanyushenko.
The all-wheel-drive dump truck MAZ-MAN 756539 with the 6x6 wheel formula can deliver 26-27 tonnes of cargo occupying up to 16m3. The admissible fully loaded mass of the vehicle is 41 tonnes.
The new-generation all-wheel-drive truck tractor MAZ-MAZ 646539 boasts power, reliability, and green credentials. It is designed to haul various cargoes as part of a road train with the admissible fully loaded mass as large as 75 tonnes.
MAZ-MAN Company manufactures its own trucks. The joint venture ZAO MAZ-MAN was created (registered) by the companies MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark), and Lada OMS Holding in 1998. Since 2005 the joint venture has been an official dealer of MAN in Belarus.
