Grodno Oblast governor visits Kazakhstan




GRODNO, 4 March (BelTA) - Grodno Oblast of Belarus and Mangystau Region of Kazakhstan have signed a roadmap for cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee.

During a working visit to Aktau, Governor of Grodno Oblast Yuri Karayev met with Akim of Mangystau Region Nurdaulet Kilybai to discuss the main areas of cooperation for the near future.

The heads of the regions signed a roadmap for further deepening and expanding cooperation between the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee and the Akimat of the Mangystau Region for 2026-2027. Specific joint plans have been outlined in trade and economy, the agricultural and food sectors, education, culture, and tourism. During the visit, enterprises of Grodno Oblast signed agreements and contracts to export products to Kazakhstan.

“The visit of the Grodno regional delegation to Mangystau Region is an important step towards the development of interregional cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan. We attach particular importance to the development of direct contacts between enterprises and business communities of our regions. We identified new growth points that will allow us to move from intentions to practical actions and results,” Yuri Karayev noted.
